Pacesetters of the Fox Cities, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit running club, will be awarding four $500 scholarships for 2019 to high school seniors involved in track or cross country and enrolled in a high school in Winnebago, Outagamie, or Calumet county. Two female and two male winners will be chosen.
Two additional Mark Werner Memorial Scholarships will be awarded as well. Mark was a member of the PaceSetter’s board of directors for many years and was 1975 graduate of Appleton East. He was the operations manager and race director for many races including: Women’s Run at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Plexus Run, Cheesehead, Santa Scamper, Midwest Sporting Events and DuTriRun events, Run Away events and was co-director of the Fox Cities 5k. One scholarship will be awarded to any student meeting the above requirements; the second will be open to any Appleton East High School students who has been involved in track or cross country.
For all six scholarships, please complete our 2019 Application updated and supply two letters of reference (150 words or less): one from a teacher and one from a track or cross country coach. For 2019, all applications must be received by PaceSetters no later than Friday, April 12.
