Summer Training Runs

About the Training Runs

The 2015 PaceSetters Community First Fox Cities Marathon and Half Marathon Training Run program offers weekly long runs that are geared towards getting you ready for the Community First Fox Cities Marathon or Half Marathon, which will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015. This program is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

When and Where

  • Saturday mornings at 7 a.m.
  • May 23 through September 12
  • Run Away Shoes, W3192 County Rd. KK (Calumet Street), Appleton – All runs meet at Run Away Shoes with the exception of Week 9 (see note below)

What We Offer

  • Mapped routes
  • Turn-by-turn route reel directions
  • On-course water stations, offering water and Gatorade, support up to a 13:30 pace
  • Bagels, bananas, Kind Bars, water, Gatorade, and coffee after your run
  • On-site physical therapists, provided by ThedaCare, starting in week 4
  • Run/walk group available

*Note: Week 9’s training run will be a prediction run. Test your paces and see where you are at with either a 13.1-mile route for the marathon or a 6.2-mile route for the half marathon. For this run, we plan to meet at Riverside Park in Neenah and run the last miles of the marathon course.
