The 3rd annual Mosquito Hill Endurance Run is on October 27th and 28th, 2018. The race takes place at the Mosquito Hill Nature Center in New London, WI. Runners and walkers will journey through the 3.1 mile loop on trails in which you will travel though wetlands, prairies, a forest, and up to the top of Mosquito Hill. It’s a great race for any trail runner of any skill level! The trails are not technical and nice and wide.
This year offers a 3, 6, 12, and 24 hour option, a moonlight 5k, and a “last man standing” race.
The timed events are designed to allow participants to run or walk as many miles as they desire. This is a great way to set a new mileage PR for yourself regardless of your speed! The moonlight 5k allows people to discover the trail at night. Headlamps or flashlights are a must!
The “last man/woman standing race” is a race of strategy and speed. Everyone starts each lap together. Your first lap takes place at noon with 1 hour to complete, your second lap at 1pm with 59 minutes to complete, your third lap at 1:59 with 58 minutes to complete, your fourth lap at 2:57 with 57 minutes to complete, etc. They will continue to take 1 minute off from each lap until there is 1 man or woman left!
